El régimen franquista convirtió la cárcel en el destino final de miles de personas que, a través del arte, intentaban plasmar los ideales democráticos de la II República. Pero ni el hacinamiento, ni la soledad, ni las torturas hicieron que se frenara esa fiebre por el aprendizaje y la creación que surgió bajo los muros de la represión y que “hizo de las cárceles una universidad”.
